Celebrated Kenyan orator PLO Lumumba has hit out at NASA for threatening secession if their demands are not met.

Delivering a speech at the Kenyan Institute of Management at a hotel in Nairobi, Lumumba insisted that secession would not address the problems that Kenyans face on a daily basis.

''Secession calls are totally misplaced. Kenyans want real solutions to their struggles. Those trumpeting secession should tell Kenyans how they intend to improve their lives not how they intend to divide them.'' Lumumba said.

Dr. Lumumba asked Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that appointments in his government will be driven by merit and not the pressure to reward political allies.

Lumumba represented the IEBC in the petition that led to the annulment of the August 8 presidential election and has since fallen out of love with opposition supporters.
