Kinisu downed his tools after he was associated with the NYS scandal where millions of shillings were lost.

Lumumba termed the resignation as a good move since Kinisu will get his name cleared against corruption allegation facing him.

Speaking to Sauti ya America radio today, Lumumba said that Kinisu's step to leave office is a sign of patriotism and allegations before him will be cleared.

Lumumba accused Mps of pushing for his resignation and said that politicians are the people majorly involved in corruption scandals.

"Politicians are the ones leading in corruption in the country. Once they realise that the EACC will come for them they push hard for his or her resignation so that they go unpunished," said Lumumba.

He said that corruption in Kenya will never end due to the involvement of MPs in dissolving institutions fighting corruption.
