President Uhuru Kenyatta is a happy man after he was promised goodies from Luo Nyanza. Members of an indigenous church from Raila’s backyard have promised to support Uhuru’s re-election in August. As Tuko reports, the Nomiya Faith Churches whose origin is Nyanza region have decided to back Jubilee’s second term in office.

Led by their archbishop Caleb Olali, they visited President Kenyatta at the State House on May 2, 2017. The group said that the incumbent has developed Nyanza and beyond. They also praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for his stellar leadership that has impacted every citizen. The President was quick to tweet about the meeting with the group from his rival’s stronghold.

The surprise comes after ODM party leader Raila Odinga was chosen to fly the NASA presidential flag come August 8. Odinga will be deputized by Wiper Democratic Movement party Chief Kalonzo Musyoka. They will be assisted to manage national affairs by ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula and Chama Chama Cha Mashinani boss Isaac Ruto.

This is a boost for Jubilee which is seeking to have a share of NASA votes in its strongholds. The targeted areas are Western Kenya, Nyanza, coastal region and Eastern Kenya.
