A host of Western Kenya politicians have labeled Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka and Water Minister Eugene Wamalwa ‘traitors’ adding that they will be sent to political oblivion in August.
Despite Western region being perceived to be an opposition zone, the two politicians are closely working with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Led by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, the two leaders were accused of going against wishes of Luhya community by supporting Jubilee administration.
“Our people have spoken and they will support NASA. People like Lusaka and Wamalwa should prepare for a resounding defeat,” said Mudavadi.
“Wamalwa was lied to that he would run for Nairobi governor and they dropped him. He is not justified to rally for Jubilee in Western region,” added Moses Wetangula.
NASA is pitching tent in the vote rich Western region barely a week after Jubilee team traversed in vote hunting mission.
On Friday, the team is expected in Lusaka’s stronghold in Bungoma before heading to Vihiga and completing the week long itinerary in Busia on Sunday.
