[Photo|Parliament of Kenya]Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, opened a one-day workshop for women senators at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club, Nairobi.The Monday workshop aimed to among other things: equip senators with basic knowledge of Kenya Women Senators' Association (KEWOSA), deliberate on milestones and challenges faced by women senators, developing effective strategies for promoting gender equality and media relationship with women senators.The Cabinet Secretary, Public Works, Youth and Gender Affairs Sicily Kariuki and chairperson of the National Gender and Equality Commission (NGEC) Winfred Lichuma, were among the invited guests.Also present was the Clerk of the Senate, Jeremiah Nyegenye.
