[Photo/the-star.co.ke]Senators have promised to work together with governors in the interest of devolution in Kenya and for the benefit of the ordinary people who elected them.In the past, senators have engaged in supremacy battles with county bosses that have undermined devolution.Speaker Kenneth Lusaka decried the negative impact that the supremacy wars were having on devolution.He pledged to push for the greater allocation of resources to counties.''We must avoid an antagonistic and overbearing behaviour. Devolution is a journey and we must work together.'' Lusaka said in Kwale at Diani Beach Hotel where governors are being inducted.Lusaka promised that the Senate would be at the forefront of ensuring a conducive legal environment for devolution.
