Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka has received yet another boost for his re-election bid days after he had received major support from over 100 Sabaot elders from Mt Elgon backing his leadership.

One of the dominant clans in Bungoma county have declared to support the Jubilee governor as well as all the Jubilee candidates in the region.

The Balonja clan, which has more than 20,000 voters, said it will campaign for Jubilee government in the region to ensure it takes power for a second term.

Speaking at a meeting attended by the members of the clan, the community’s secretary general Jarius Wangila said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government had brought a lot of development in the region.

“Development projects have been started by the county and national governments from roads, agriculture, education to health. We expect more to come with the re-election of Lusaka,” said Wangila.
