According to Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, he should receive an award as a top leader in the yet to be fully formed Jubilee Party.

The governor uttered that New Ford Kenya party members who joined Jubilee team should be given the secretary general position.

In a rejoinder, Jubilee leadership has however dismissed Lusaka’s demands pointing out that nobody should dictate to Jubilee party on which positions should be awarded to who.

A steering committee member for Jubilee party Kiraitu Murungi told Lusaka off, citing that he (Lusaka) should accept any position accorded to him by the party.

"The merger comprises of twelve political parties and the final responsibility of determining office-bearers is the party leader. I request the leaders to stay calm as the issues are being discussed," the Meru senator was quoted by a local daily.

Murungi further said that Jubilee party will be looking at the last general election in giving out positions in the party.

"We will be looking at the last general election’s reports when sharing party positions. The many the votes the party had in the last general election the more seats it will be entitled to," he further added..

New Ford Kenya party is expected to reap less from the party considering that it garnered less votes in the last general elections.

The party was dissolved even as some MCAs cried foul of not being involved before the party was dissolved.
