Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka has asked aspirants in the county, to keep off politics in burial ceremonies to show respect, to the dead. 

He asked them to call for public rallies if they want to engage in politics.

 

“Have respect and stop fighting at funerals. This is a taboo,” said Lusaka, Friday. 

“Stop this behavior of disrespecting the bereaved by causing chaos as was the case in Kimilili last week,” he added. 

The governor further asked the politicians to tell their manifestos to the voters instead of triggering conflict in the upcoming general election. 

The Jubilee governor was speaking at Sitikho ward, Webuye West constituency during a function to welcome the new Sitikho location Chief David Manali Lusakaka.  He urged the Webuye West Sub-county commissioner Benedict Munyoli to work hand in hand with Manali to ensure security.
