Two employees of M-KOPA company were on Thursday arraigned before an Eldoret court to answer to charges of stealing various properties of the company valued at Sh1,163,800.

The two, Rebecca Cherotich and Dishon Lukumwa are accused of committing the crime at Kipkaren trading center, Lumakanda area of Kakamega county on various dates between January 1 and November 15, 2017.

According to court documents, the two stole M-KOPA Radio valued at Sh532,000, 135 solar appliances valued at Sh83,600 among others.

They denied all the charges before the Eldoret Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa.Court ordered that they are released on a sh600,000 bond each with a surety of similar amount.Hearing for the case will be on December 5, 2017.
