The leaders said it is a time the community put aside their political differences and unite to honour Nkaissery who they said was instrumental in uniting the Maa community.
MPs Elijah Memusi (Kajiado Central),Peter Mositet(Kajiado senator),Alex ole Magelo(Nairobi county assembly speaker) and Kajiado county gubernatorial aspirant Joseph ole Lenku all hailed Nkaissery as a key pillar of the Maasai community and regretted his death.
"This is a time to put aside our political differences as more members of the Maa community and show leadership to the our community who have been left orphaned," Memusi said.
The same sentiments were echoed by Ole Magelo who said it is high time the Maa community leaders united to give the outspoken general a beffitting send off.
Nkaissery died early Saturday morning at the Karen Hospital shortly after being taken ill.
