Garissa politician Farah Maalim has come to the defense of the embattled former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru, saying the investigating PAC committee erred in its attempt to get additional insights to the mega looting syndicate in NYS.
"The Parliamentary Accounting Committee (PAC) proceeded with a lot of preconceptions and did not accord a friendly forum to the resourceful witness who is Anne Waiguru," he stated.
While defending the former CS, Maalim said that Waiguru in the quizzing sessions advanced credible evidence that could unravel the whole rot and the real faces behind the multi-million NYS scandal.
"Waiguru was advancing alot of credible evidence. It is true that one cannot do business with another partner without communicating or even meeting," he added.
During the previous quizzing session, Waiguru began her testimony by demanding that the members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) assure her that she was not being targeted but was only interested in getting the truth behind the matter.
"First, I seek your assurance before the session proceeds that this committee is only guided by none other than its constitutional mandate to seek the truth under the existing laws," Waiguru sought.
