Former Lagdera legislator, Farah Maalim has at last responded to the incumbent Garissa Township MP, Aden Duale who had earlier referred as a political reject.
Speaking during an interview with a local FM station, Maalim defended the timing of his political declaration and interest in Garissa Township legislative space, stating that the area was underdeveloped, adding that various sections of the people in the constituency had sought him to vie for the seat.
‘'I have been popularly invited by the people of Garissa Township. They have asked me to stand with them in the next Parliament. It is a popular demand that I have decided to vie for this (Garissa Township) legislative seat,” he said.
He, however, added that he is a political senior to the majority leader Duale, referring him as a young man who was still in college by the time he was already serving the people.
