A video of former deputy speaker Farah Maalim exchanging blows with an ex-minister from Somalia has leaked online.
The one-minute video footage dated September 29, shows the visibly emotional former legislator turning to the ex-minister as the recipient tried to shield his face from the fist 'rockets' with both hands.
The Somali ex-minister is further seen signaling at an official who comes in between them, with attempts to stop the fight.
However, the fight did not end there as Maalim was seen going after the former minister while pushing him meters away with more spontaneous blows and kicks.
More people came in and tried to get in between the two suited men and moments later, the Somali ex-minister is seen being escorted out of the hotel. What remains unclear is what prompted the brawl, with the two politicians appearing infuriated.
Kilimani OCPD Mr Peter Katam confirmed the unfortunate incident stating they had launched investigations into the matter.
“We have commenced investigations to the matter. The duo had their political disagreements and we are yet to find what actually transpired,” quoted a local daily.
