With the new year right on course, it is apparent that the vocal Garissa Township politician Farah Maalim might have ditched Raila Odinga in favour of another presidential hopeful.
ln an update via his social media handle, Maalim made a controversial remark that could rightly be interpreted as an endorsement of another opposition co-principal as the cord flag bearer.
Maalim disclosed that a tactical retreat and a possible change of the general is necessary if he has suffered a series of loosing encounters.
"Tactical retreat, change the General when defeated in a series of encounters. Valour is winning territory and hoisting flag period," he posted.
He further added that leaders emanate from their great qualities that make them sustain the political game.
"Politics is the art of possible. If the plot can't work change the script. Leaders are great because of qualities that make great occasions," he added.
However, Maalim never indicated his favourite for the 2017 presidential elections that has been widely predicted to be a two horse race between the Jubilee Party and the opposition Cord.
