Former Assembly speaker and Cord supporter Farah Maalim has once again hit out at the ruling Jubilee administration for taking credit in Garissa projects that were initiated during the former grand coalition government of Mwai Kibaki and Raila Odinga.
While making the statement that may not auger well with Jubilee supporters, and more specifically his chief competitor Aden Duale, Maalim said that the ruling government has perfected lies, leave alone having a short-term memory that cannot recall the project developers in the expansive North Eastern region.
"Tragedy with political liars is that they are very short on memories. Jubilee Politicians in Garissa County have the audacity to claim credit for Kibaki and Raila projects. This is incredible," he said in a twitter update.
This month alone, Duale has made over five trips to his Garissa Township constituency, where he has been inspecting development projects while drumming support for himself for the legislative space and also for President Kenyatta's re-election bid for the 2017 elections.
