Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Deputy Party Leader now says that opposition leader Raila Odinga is almost already out of the National Super Alliance (NASA).
In an interview on Radio Maisha Tuesday, Maalim observed that based on his latest movements, the former Prime Minister has expressed a desire to remove his Orange Democratic Party (ODM) from the alliance, marking NASA's death.
Maalim said that the veteran politician's involvement with the ruling Jubilee Party lately clearly shows that he has no intentions to continue staying in NASA, but added that the remaining parties in the coalition will not hesitate to carry on upon his exit.
''His recent involvement with Jubilee and his allies' endorsement of Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid means that NASA is already dead since it cannot retain its current structure upon the exit of one party,'' he said.
''He is currently banking on two plans; either to break his agreement with the remaining NASA leaders and support William Ruto in 2022 or vie again for the seat. However, his co-principals are ready to deliberate among themselves on who will represent them in the 2022 race,'' he added.
The remaining NASA co-leaders; Amani National Congress (ANC) party boss Musalia Mudavadi, his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka have since bashed Odinga over the move, accusing him of betraying their trust.
