Issuing his stand on the matter via his social media page on Sunday, the politician quizzed as to why the Jubilee administration would launch such a 'massive' project without consulting with the stakeholders who happen to be the residents from the affected regions.

"How does government undertake a water tunnel project affecting five counties without stakeholders consultation? The project is a big scam," he disclosed.

Last week, Balambala member of Parliament Abdikadir Aden became the first politician from the region to poke holes in the water project.

Aden said the project would have tragic environmental concerns, which could eventually wipe out the populations of the many citizens depending on the water source for their livelihoods.
