Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) Deputy Party Leader Farah Maalim has once again poked holes into the recent peace pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition don Raila Odinga.
In an interview on Radio Maisha Tuesday, the former National Assembly Deputy Speaker said that the deal risks not working at all, especialy with Odinga being part of it.
He accused Odinga of recurrently spearheading political confrontations, doubting any possibilities of his new national cohesion pledge achieving anything.
''This is just an agreement between two people and not a national issue as they try to put it,'' said the former Lagdera Member of Parliament.
''We have seen the same happening in the past, especially with Raila Odinga being party, but we have always ended up in the same place, so it is even more unlikely for any good result to come out of this new unity,'' he added.
Maalim also echoed his party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's push for a more inclusive and structured national conversation.
He rubbished claims that Wiper and Musyoka are opposed to the meeting between Odinga and Kenyatta, stressing on the need for a new dialogue, capable of eradicating the ethnicity menace.
''We are not opposed to them meeting as leaders, but we would want a more inclusive national dialogue,'' noted Maalim.
