Amid the steadily rising confusion in the National Super Alliance, Garissa Township legislative aspirant and Wiper party official Farah Maalim has firmly stated that the party will remain within the NASA umrella with or without being granted presidential flagship.
Maalim further said that the party will play any other role as deemed necessary and determined by the administrative NASA committee.
"With or without being given flag bearer, Wiper party will remain in NASA, period. We are ready to play any other role that will be determined by the NASA committee. Kenya as a country is bigger than us all irrespective of position," stated Maalim.
Maalims sentiments come at a time when opposition coalition are entangled in a deepening discontent over who should lead them in the incoming presidential elections.
On his part, Kalonzo says the MoU signed in 2013 between him and the ODM chief Raila Odinga should come into play. At the same time, Musalia Mudavadi who is also eyeing the flagship position says he was never part of the MoU.
