Addressing residents in Garissa Town on Wednesday, Maalim asked supporters to pray for his petition seeking to nullify Duale’s re-election.

The former Deputy Speaker said he has massive evidence to prove that Duale did not win re-election in the recently concluded general election.

“I will prove to the Garissa people and Kenyans that Duale allegedly stole the August 8 election,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

Maalim who filed the petition at the Milimani High court in Nairobi on Tuesday said the election was marred by irregularities.

The Wiper party deputy leader asked the IEBC to start preparing for another election in Garissa exuding confidence that the court will nullify  Duale's re-election.

Duale has since dismissed Maalim’s petition,  terming it is baseless.

The vocal Garissa Township MP says that he won re-election fairly, adding that he will still beat Maalim even if the court was to nullify his win.
