According to the youth, the duo should stop spitting their dirty linen in public and ensure that they work together to ensure that there is unity and above all development in the region.

Led by Kisii county youth leader Charles Mogaka the youths condemned the event at Marani on Saturday where the duo turned a church event to a political battleground and urged the duo to have a boardroom meeting to forge the way forward.

Speaking after a church service at Itierio on Sunday Mogaka, asked Mr Maangi to respect the fact that Arati was crowned by local elders to be the spokesman of the community as well as Arati to respect Maangi as the area deputy governor.

"We as the youths of Kisii county are not happy with both Arati and Maangi as they should show political maturity and above respect each other if they want our respect," said Mogaka

Their sentiments come at a time the two leaders exchanged words at a Church event at Marani on Saturday over who is the Gusii spokesman.

Arati, however, called upon Maangi to stop panicking as he is not eying at any political seat in the county at the moment.
