Kisii county Government has said that it will no longer work with companies and individuals who are involved in any form of corruption.
Speaking on Thursday during an anti-corruption workshop by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) at Deputy Governor Joash Maangi said his government has committed to ensuring companies and individuals implicated in any form of corruption do not transact with the county.
"As the county government, we have measures in place to avoid companies and individuals who are involved in any form of corruption as one way of fighting corruption at the county level," said Maangi.
The deputy governor also advised residents to join hands with EACC in fighting corruption that has been declared a national security threat by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also said that the county Government of Kisii will support EACC in fighting corruption to ensure the county is free of corruption.
