On Thursday, a number of sources privy to the conference indicated on Facebook page on Kisii County that the MCAs had threatened to skip Saturday’s mega event at Kasarani, Nairobi claiming that MPs had defrauded them of their allowances.

And on Friday, Maangi downplayed the reports insisting that the Gusii delegation had been fully sorted and is expected to be part of the Saturday celebrations.

“I don’t think there is a group or representation from Gusii region which is complaining over allowances. As chair of the delegation, we ensured that everyone who travelled has been refunded,” he said.

“The reports are misleading and should be treated with contempt. We have made a decision to join Jubilee and that is unstoppable. We have a mission to accomplish in years to come,” he said adding that the delegation will popularize the Jubilee party.

The delegation from Kisii County is led by Maangi and Senator Chris Obure who is expected to make a formal announcement on his defection from the ODM during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s address to the gathering.
