Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi says that he doesn't have personal differences with colleague leaders despite taking a different path in politics.
Maangi, who was appointed in President Uhuru Kenyatta's Kisii campaign team, has been critical in James Ongwae's government despite the region being solidly in opposition.
“For our county to prosper, we don't have to fight all times. I have no personal differences with my fellow leaders only that i decided to walk a different path and it is my right to do so," he said.
"as leaders, the interest of ordinary people comes first before anything and that is why I am always close to my Governor. we my differ politically but in the long run, we must work together," he added.
Maangi has shown interest in working with area Senator Chris Obure who has since declared his interest in gubernatorial seat.
