Addressing the press on Wednesday at a Kisii sports Club, Maangi insisted that he remains to be the county party Organising Secretary hence he has not defected from ODM to be told to resign.

Maangi said that he went to Kasarani when the new party was launched early this month as a friend since he was called to attend.

“I have not declared decamping from ODM so that I can be told to resign, I Went to Kasarani as a friend and I was invited to attend the luncheon but I want to state categorical that there is a move which will be announced soon, I can not be intimated with cartels," said Maangi.

According to Deputy County boss, those calling for his resignation are the one who thinks that he is working with the Government.

“According to the current Constitution we have the freedom of association so there is nothing wrong for me to associate with the Jubilee Government,” said Maangi.

Maangi added that he has never missed to attend ODM meeting which has been called on in Kisii county by the party Chairman who is Senator Chris Obure.

"I have never missed any serious ODM meeting which has been called by our chairman, also I am the organizing secretary who needs to organise such meeting so I have not defected," said Maangi.
