Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi is not politician at all , Governor James Ongwae's supporters have said.

According to them, Maangi's political career is directly attributed to appointment by Ongwae in 2013 as his running mate.

Led by Jackson Osero, they insisted that kisii remains Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) stronghold and mainatined that Maangi's effort of popularizing Jubilee will not yield fruits.

“We know that Deputy Governor Joash Maangi is fighting governor Ongwae politically but Maangi is not a politician according to our understanding because he holds the post courtesy of Ongwae,” Osero he said.

“Maangi will try to change Kisii to Jubilee but he won’t succeed and we will support Ongwae in the next general election through the ODM party and we are sure he will be reelected," he added.

The supporters urged locals to 'eat" Jubilee money and vote for opposition leader Raila Odinga in 2017 elections.
