Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has predicted a tough time for the National Super Alliance (NASA) in its quest to drive the Jubilee administration out of power come August 8.
The Deputy Governor who was elected on an ODM ticket but recently shifted alliance to the Jubilee Party, accused NASA leaders of being self-centered individuals who would never agree to miss out on being the opposition's flag bearer.
"NASA has a big headache in their bid to acquire power to power. They have four principals who are all not ready to shelve their presidential ambitions. It is more than clear that each of them to consider himself the best candidate," he told Citizen TV's Power Breakfast show on Monday.
He insisted that Kalonzo was never going to be allowed to be the NASA flag bearer, and would opt out of the opposition eventually adding that his body language during a rally in Kisii showed he was a disgruntled man.
"What do you expect of someone like Kalonzo when he is told he is not fit to run for the presidency, he will definitely take offense and walk away and that is what will break NASA," said the deputy governor.
"Kalonzo had a very poor reception in Kisii, he had no crowd to address. Even though he said he was in NASA to stay, his body language was saying a different thing," he added.
