Speaking to the press on Monday shortly after his expulsion, Maangi accused ODM Party of denying him his constitutional freedom to association, saying he will seek a legal redress on the Political Parties Act.

“I will challenge the decision of ODM in court and seek an interpretation of the political parties act that is denying me my freedom of association,” he said.

Maangi argued that he had chosen to work with the ruling Jubilee government for the sake of development.

“No one should restrict or victimise me for working with the government as I seek development,” he said.
