Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has promised the Gusii community of increased development in Health, Education, Agriculture and Roads sectors.
Speaking on Sunday at a funeral ceremony at Ribwago area, Maangi promised to mobilise all elected leaders in Kisii to fulfil the pledges they gave during their campaigns.
Maangi challenged Gusii region leaders to put aside their partisan political interests and political party affiliations and work towards development.
"I am requesting all Kisii leaders to come and cooperate together to ensure development is achieved for our residents since we were elected to empower them," said Maangi.
His sentiments were echoed by Borabu MP Ben Momanyi and Bomachoge Chache MP Simon Ogari who were at the same ceremony by stressing that residents required economic development and not obsession with political party affiliations.
The two also promised to work together with the Kisii County government to improve living standards of residents in their respective constituencies.
