Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has raised alarm over delayed upgrade works of Suneka airstrip.
Maangi said the contractor who was awarded the tender should hasten the construction works.
“The contractor was given a time frame to complete the upgrade of Suneka airstrip in Bonchari constituency but it is worrying that the project is yet to be completed until today,” said Maangi.
He called on area MP John Oyioka to move with speed and ensure the project is completed in time.
"Bonchari MP should not sleep on his job. Stalled projects should be completed before new projects are launched in Bonchari Sub County,” said Maangi.
According to Maangi, former Bonchari MP John Opore initiated several projects which he failed to complete during his 15 years of leadership.
Maangi urged Bonchari constituents to stop being too lenient on leaders.
“The electorates should push leaders to deliver so that no project is left stalling for long without completion like Suneka airstrip,” said Maangi.
