Maangi said the county government of Kisii is committed to ensuring that there are zero cases of corruption in Kisii County.

“County workers and other stakeholders will get the training and sensitization on preventive mechanisms in the anti-corruption war. I and Governor James Ongwae we reiterate our commitment to ensuring Kisii County is a corruption-free zone,” he said.

Maangi urged County employees to cooperate with EACC in the fight against the vice.

"Employees should cooperate in the training especially on ethical and values programs that will help in improving service delivery and ensure corruption is prevented," he said.

"EACC should report any departmental officers who fail to accord them the necessary assistance as they probe the corruption allegations and illegal hiring of County employees which have already been highlighted,” added Maangi.

Maangi was speaking on Tuesday at Governor James Ongwae’s office when EACC commissioner Rose Macharia paid them a visit.
