Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has said they have set measures in fighting corruption across the county.
Addressing county officials and EACC officials on Wednesday at the county headquarters during the presentation of the corruption assessment report of policies, procedures, and practices at Kisii county executive and assembly.
“As the county Government of Kisii we have measures in place to eradicate this vice, hence our county it is free corrupt zone,” said Maangi.
The Deputy governor said that early last year they established a code of conduct and ethics for its staff as it aims to improve service delivery.
“In 2015 we established a code of conducts and ethics to create awareness on shared principals and govern attitude and behavior in the county public service,” said Maangi.
He said that this code has instilled discipline and moral responsibility in the county public service and mainstream ethics and integrity to all employees.
However, Deputy secretary/CEO of the ethics and anti-corruption commission (EACC) Mr Michael Mubea challenged the county executive and assembly to set measures in implementation the report.
