Kisii ODM Youth League leader Erick Janganya has faulted deputy governor Joash Maangi over the latest visit to Deputy President William Ruto's office.
Mr Maangi was temporarily suspended by the ODM coordinating committee for allegedly being disloyal to the party after leading a delegation of at least 2000 people to William Ruto’s Sugoi home before he was reinstated by the party’s top brass slightly over a fortnight ago.
Mr Janganya on Wednesday accused the deputy governor of insincerity after he led yet again a delegation of Kisii County MPs to the DP’s office on Tuesday.
“I was justified to suspend him (Maangi) and now history can vindicate me," he said.
"He is never loyal to the party and that is the bitter truth that my fellow ODM members must admit. He was in DP’s home and I am sure they are planning to neutralise our party’s strong command in Gusii region.”
Mr Janganya said he has written to the ODM’s national secretariat seeking guidance on how to take Mr Maangi and other 'rebel' MPs from the party who were dining with Jubilee administration.
“They never discuss development when visiting the DP. All they go there to do is to scheme how to bring ODM down. I have written to the party seeking guidance on the matter and I hope we will be able to come with a long lasting solution on how to tame rebels,” he said.
Among those who visited Mr Ruto include Richard Tongi (Nyaribari Chache), Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South), Jimmy Angwenyi (Kitutu Chache North), Simon Ogari (Bomachoge Chache), Elijah Moindi (Nyaribari Masaba) and Joel Onyancha (Bomachoge Borabu with Mr Maangi being the head of the delegation.
