Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo has backed the candidature of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka saying he is the best candidate to carry the Cord flag in the 2017 elections.
Maanzo who was speaking on K24's Face Off show said Kalonzo would not only sweep votes from Ukambani but also from all part of Kenya.
"I can tell you clearly that if Kalonzo Musyoka becomes the flag bearer of Cord he will sweep Ukambani 100 percent," he said
"He will also sweep votes from all other parts of the country, the only places he may have a problem of recording 100 percent is Rift Valley and Central Province," he added
Maanzo also insisted that they would support any candidate presented as the Cord flag bearer but insisted Kalonzo was the man to beat saying his candidacy was more feared by their opponents than ODM party leader Raila Odinga's.
"Jubilee fear the candidature of Kalonzo more than Raila and they know it," he said.
