Maanzo who was speaking on Citizen's power Breakfast Show Maanzo  said that Martha only stood a chance of winning the Kirinyaga governor seat she had to support the Jubilee party.

The legislator hailed Martha for the work she has done for the country and he is optimistic Martha will do well for the Kirinyaga people.

"When Martha lost 2012 presidential election she was automatically an opposition leader and that is why she was with us," he said

"I think it is good for her to run for Kirinyaga gubernatorial position, and she can not win while opposed to the local politics," he added

Maanzo also insisted that Karua is still in their plans and they will make her the speaker as was the plan from before. He said that if Martha fails to clinch the Kirinyaga gubernatorial position she will still be made the speaker since she was still part of them.

"If Cord wins the 2017 polls and Karua loses the Kirinyaga seat she will automatically be the speaker," he said

"It is not lost yet, she is still part of us," he added.
