ODM elections chairperson Judith Pareno has dismissed claims that Maa region is a swing region adding that the community is backing opposition NASA.
In 2013, both President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga garnered an equal amount of votes from Kajiado and Narok Counties.
Speaking ahead of NASA’s tour scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday, Pareno said she was confident that the team shall perform well in the region.
“Maasai community will vote for NASA and that is an assurance. Whoever is lying that we are a swing region, August will be a shocker,” she said.
“Just like any community, the Maasai are tired with this corrupt regime and we are ready to show them dust,” added the EALA MP.
While Jubilee is banking on Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery to deliver, NASA is working closely with Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye.
On Tuesday, NASA will pitch tent in Kajiado County where they are expected to address a series of rallies before touring the neighboring Narok on Wednesday.
