Legislators from Maasai region have issued a 48-hour ultimatum to state agencies to give an update on probe against alleged incitement remarks by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga. The MPs argued that Raila’s recent remarks in Kajiado West constituency amounted to incitement of locals against other communities in the area. The group, led by Kajiado West MP Moses ole Sakuda, demanded that NASA leadership should avoid addressing the “sensitive” land issue during their campaign tours in the region. The MPs claim the debate has raised tension in the region even as NASA leadership dismissed criticism by their Jubilee rivals on the land debate.Deputy President William Ruto had rubbished Raila’s call to the implementation of TJRC report as the ultimate solution to poverty and land problem.NASA argued that Jubilee had failed to give a solution to the Kenyan people and that its government if elected would seek to implement the TJRC report that recommended ways of tackling historical injustices across the country.
