A student at the Maasai Mara University collapsed and died after developing breathing problems on Tuesday.
Julius Indigo, a First Year student, had just returned to his hostel room from the washrooms at 6:30am, when he developed breathing problems.
His friend, identified as Paskal Onchwanga and a security officer at the university, took him to the institution’s clinic after the collapse.
He was then rushed to Narok Referral Hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.
Indigo’s body was transferred to the hospital’s morgue.
Narok police boss Smollets Nunyanzi confirmed the incident to edaily.
In April 2016, 22-year-old Emily Jelimo Ng'etich from the University was found dead at her rented room near the institution.
Police said the death might have been as a result of a love-triangle.
Ng'etich was a Third Year student at the institution.
