Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has ironically condemned IEBC demonstrations stating the actions were a waste of precious materials.
Speaking on Friday during President Uhuru Kenyatta's visit In Tala, Mutua stated that Machakos residents wouldn't engage in any protest.
"Our quarries are building structures in Nairobi and if we see stones being thrown we are losing as its Ukambani funds when tyres are burned and we make our shoes using the raw material it's a big disappointment," said Mutua.
The governor further reiterated that there was a counter plan to set Mondays as an ID issuing day for the youth.
Among other political leaders who addressed the residents in Tala is the Nairobi County Senator Mbuvi Sonko.
This comes even after wiper leaders snubbed the presidential visit stating they were not invited.
