Machakos county government has donated a fully equipped ambulance and fire engine to Export Processing Zone (EPZ), Athi River.
Speaking on Tuesday during the handover ceremony, governor Alfred Mutua noted that the move was aimed at equipping the company's emergency department.
"My government has made available an ambulance and a fire engine to the EPZ fraternity to help in the event of emergencies," Mutua said.
"I know that working together and through our Maendeleo Chap Chap ideology that envisions to put people's plight first, we will transform the county and offer better living standards," he added.
The governor presided over the handing over ceremony whilst EPZ's Chief Executive Officer Fanuel Kidenda represented the company.
