Machakos County deputy Governor Francis Maliti has officially opened the Machakos Development Conference meant to offer residents a chance to address their affairs.
The three day conference will end on Friday, it has brought together residents and entrepreneurs drawn from over 14 constituencies within the county.
"As the Public Participation week geared towards formulating our County Integrated Development Plan for term, I have officially launched this conference at ABC Kaveani, Upper Kaewa ward in Kathiani sub-County to hear from locals what their priorities are", Maliti said.
Maliti said he is keen on driving a people-centred development agenda that will see his administration implement projects that directly impact on wananchi as directly requested by them.
Present during the launch of the conference and public participation forum was the area MCA for Kaveani Geoffrey Kamula.
Maliti further visited Kathiani Level IV Hospital, affirming the county government's commitment to ensuring every citizen has access to the highest attainable healthcare.
