This is according to the County Deputy Governor Francis Maliti who chaired a meeting with Machakos County revenue collection stakeholders to discuss the way forward.
"We are also in the process of carrying out robust changes in the revenue collection department to seal loopholes and to meet our financial obligations," said Maliti.
Maliti further said that the County government seeks to improve service delivery to the people of Machakos and all is set to play a key role in helping the County achieve its goals.
This was the first meeting between Maliti and Machakos County government revenue stakeholder, where key issues on adequate strategies of ensuring credibility and order in the County revenue collection were discussed.
Maliti stressed the importance of working together and curbing inappropriate use of County funds calling on all various stakeholders to help fight corruption within the revenue collection office.
All revenue collections will kick off next week on Monday as it was stipulated by Maliti during the one-day meeting that was held at his office in Machakos town.
