Machakos county government workers are set to down their tools if the issues they raised with the county leadership are not addressed in the next 7 days.
This, could consequently affect service delivery mostly for the devolved functions.
According to the county government workers union secretary general Christopher Mutua, the county agreed in a meeting on January 17, that some of the benefits that the workers had not received would be paid by early February which is yet to happen.
The benefits amount to over Sh166, appointment letters and salary arrears.
