This is according to Machakos Deputy traffic commander Jack Ila who confirmed that Lucy Keitany was the Deputy Registrar of the Machakos high court.
The magistrate is said to have boarded the vehicle from Machakos where she was going to collect her car that she had left in Nairobi before the accident.
Athi River OCPD Sharma Wario who confirmed the incident advised drivers to obey highway codes and desist from over speeding in a bid to curb rising cases of road carnages along Nairobi - Mombasa road.
The said accident happened at bridge 39 when a Nissan belonging to makos SACCO tried to overtake other vehicles thus colliding head-on with a trailer.
Three people among them the driver of the Nissan lost their lives on the spot while several others sustained minor injuries.
