Maliti who was on a fact-finding mission discovered that the public health facility lacks adequate drugs, has an ambulance that is on flat tires, insufficient toilets, failed human resource administration and lacks a radiographer to handle X-ray cases.

"I have visited Mwala Level Four Hospital and I must admit I wasn't impressed. I have witnessed poor health service delivery and it was unorganized," Maliti said.

"I promise heads will roll, we will ensure Mwala residents get the best healthcare services they deserve," Maliti added.

Maliti addressed the press shortly after he visited the facility.

He said the Machakos government will ensure services return to normalcy at the hospital.

Maliti visited the facility after the residents for a long period of time raised complaints on its poor service delivery.

He later visited Mathima Health Centre which was built by a Non-governmental organization and said it only needs a little facelift to start operating.

Makutano MCA Brian Kisila commended the deputy governor for getting to the ground to witness what the local 'mwananchi' goes through.
