Machakos town deputy OCPD Henry Kimanthi has cautioned people terrorising area residents.
Speaking on Saturday morning at Machakos police station, after a night Patrol that saw 150 people arrested, Kimanthi said that the exercise is the beginning of a long journey whose main aim is to restore order in the town.
“There are some people who think they will disturb our peace at night. I am here to tell you that your days are numbered,” said Kimanthi.
Kimanthi promised residents of their security either during the day time or at night.
He further warned bodaboda operators, who are being, used to ferry terrorists of harsh penalties if caught.
Confirming the Friday nights manhunt, Kimathi said that together with police officers they had arrested 150 people who were roaming around town in the middle of the night.
“Last night we arrested 150 people wandering around town and some of them were suspects of previous attacks who the police have been looking for. We have also arrested motorists who were working past hours,” said Kimathi.
