Machakos first lady Lilian Nganga Wednesday hosted kids all from children's homes in Machakos county to a special Christmas retreat at the Machakos people's park.

The children were treated to a day full of fanfare as they displayed their talents, met other kids and received encouragement from some of the guests present.

The children had a chance to dine with the first lady and enjoy a Christmas cake together. As they went home the kids had take away donations that will ensure they are not forgotten during this festive season.

This gesture by the first lady has left many encouraged to remember the less privileged in the society which is the essence of Christmas season - sharing.
