Machakos deputy governor Benard Kiala has accused Machakos government of misusing public funds.
Speaking during a funeral that was held in Kimutwa, Machakos county, Kiala said the county government has social welfare board that should be used to assist widows.
Kiala went on to say that the county government was issued Sh 800 million between 2013 through 2017.
“Our county government was given Sh200 million in 2013-2014, Sh200 million 2014-2015, Sh200 million 2015-2016, and Sh200 million 2016-2017, a total of Sh 800 million,” said Kiala.
“But you really have to persist to get help,” he added.
His speech outraged Mutua, that he was unable to speak after being given the podia.
There have been wrangles between governor Mutua and his deputy Kiala since the start of Machakos government.
