Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has praised the police for the ongoing crackdown on hate speech by political leaders. While addressing the press at his office in Machakos Mutua said that there is need for political leaders to avoid using words that can propagate violence or political unrest in the country." Am happy that our police are taking this matter with alot of seriousness, politicians should not utter some words in public. We hav to preach peace." Said the Machakos Governor. Mutua has launched an initiative dubbed Eneza Chuki na Ghasia Uone whereby he has called on relevant agencies to carry out crackdown on social media platforms and groups to monitor hate speech propagators. Mutua further has called out on youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause unrest in the country. "I would love to urge our youths to stop being used by politicians to cause chaos." Said Mutua
